Trinity Men's Golf Wins Williams Spring Invitational In Dominant Fashion

Williamstown, Mass. - All six Bantams finished among the top-ten individuals to lead the Trinity College Bantams to the Williams College Golf Spring Invitational at Taconic Golf Club this weekend.  Trinity posted a team score of 598, nine strokes ahead of second-place Middlebury, and have won two tournaments in a row heading into next weekend's New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Tournament to determine the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships in May.  Trinity, which won the NESCAC Qualifying Tournament in the fall, will host the NESCAC Championships on April 28 and 29 at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Conn.

Trinity junior Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) fired a 150 over two days to finish just a single stroke shy of medalist honors and in a tie for second overall.  Trinity senior captain Nate Choukas (Hanover, N.H.) shot a 72 on Saturday and followed with a 79 today to tie junior teammate Kole Kelly (Belmont, Mass.) for fourth place at 151.  Kelly mirrored Choukas' performance almost perfectly with a 78 on Saturday and a five-stroke improvement to 73 today.  Juniors Jack Junge (Lincolnshire, Ill.) and Taylor Kay-Green (Needham, Mass.) and sophomore Cameron Chottiner (Houston, Texas) all tied for 10th 155 for the Bantams.
