Trinity's Sabitsky, Orlando Earn All-NESCAC Honors for Men's Hockey

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College junior forward Anthony Sabitsky (Sicklerville, N.J.) has been named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference First Team, and senior forward Sean Orlando (Ivyland, Pa.) garnered All-NESCAC Second Team honors.  The Bantams, led by Head Coach Matt Greason (6th season), are 20-6-3 after a 2-1 overtime victory over Endicott in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament over the weekend, and won their second consecutive NESCAC title with a 5-4 victory at Hamilton on March 5.  Trinity, ranked No. 8 in the nation, plays St. Norbert in the NCAA Division III Semifinals on Friday, March 24 at 3 p.m. in Utica, N.Y.

Sabitsky has been a key cog of the high-powered Trinity offense, which leads the league in scoring at 4.18 goals per game. Sabitsky has 17 goals (0.59 per game, 3rd in NESCAC) with 16 helpers for 33 points (3rd in NESCAC).  He has also contributed five power-play goals, five game-winning tallies, and a team-high two short-handed scores. This is Sabitsky's second-straight season earning All-NESCAC accolades after earning second team recognition as a sophomore. A graduate of Milton Academy and a political science major, he is the son of Mary and Jamie Sabitsky.

Orlando earns All-NESCAC honors for the second season, after collecting All-NESCAC First Team accolades in 2015-16.  Orlando has a team-high 18 goals (0.62 per game, T1st in NESCAC) and adds as many assists for a NESCAC-best 36 points.  He is also tied for the league lead in power-play goals with seven and adds four game-winners.  A CCM All-American last year, Orlando has totaled 64 goals (6th all-time at Trinity) and 66 assists to-date for 130 points (T7th at Trinity) in 112 games in his Bantams career.  Orlando is a graduate of Westminster Academy in Connecticut, and is majoring in economics at Trinity.  He is the son of Karen and Richard Orlando.
