  • Bryn Mawr College Hires Former Trinity Assistant As Head Swim Coach

    Hartford, Conn. - Patrick McDevitt, a Trinity College assistant coach for two seasons while earning his master's degree from the college in American Studies, has been hired as the head swimming coach at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

    Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College women's swimming and diving first-year Samantha McStocker was honored as a 2018 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-American, while the Bantam men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both honored as 2017-18 CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams for both the fall and spring semesters.

    Hartford, Conn. - The 2017-2018 season was a successful season both in and out of the pool for the Trinity College men's swimming and diving team. In his fourth season at the helm, Head Coach Carlos Vega guided the Bantams to a ninth place finish at the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Championships while numerous Bantams set new Trinity records throughout the year.

    Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College sophomore Greg Kalmiskii (St. Petersburg, Russia) and first-years Aleksander Kapanadze (London, England) and Alex Schrock (Long Lake, Minn.) finished eighth in the 200-yard butterfly, the 200-yard backstroke, and the three-meter diving, respectively, on the final day of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Bowdoin College's Greason Pool this evening.

    New London, Conn. - First-year Aleksander Kapandze (London, England) won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.87 and swam a leg of two different second-place relay finishes, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams lost, 181-99, to the Connecticut College Camels in men's swimming and diving action this afternoon.

    Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - First-year Radojica Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) won two individual races and two relays to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 172-106 victory over the Vassar College Brewers in men's swimming and diving action this afternoon.  The Bantams improve to 4-1 with their third consecutive dual-meet win.

The Bantams, coached by Carlos Vega (4th season), have started the season strong and will host their first home meets this Friday, with the men's team challenging Wheaton and the women's team also facing Wheaton as well as Wellesley College.

    Lewiston, Maine - Sophomore Greg Kalmiskii (St. Petersburg, Russia) finished first in three events while rookie Radojica Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) won one and finished second in another to lead the Trinity College men's swimming team to a 177-119 victory over New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon in a tri-meet hosted by the Bates Bobcats.
