Dartmouth, Mass. - The Trinity College men's cross country team finished in ninth place out of 33 teams at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon in an impressive day of racing from the Bantam harriers.
Freshman Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) turned out his second consecutive stellar performance on the path as he finished fourth overall out of 242 total runners. McAlister, who won the Trinity Invitational last weekend at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn., finished just 13 seconds off the first-place time, and a mere second behind the third-place runner from Conn. College. Sophomore Zachary Joachim (Sudbury, Mass.) also had a solid day for Trinity with a 39th place finish while freshmen Spencer Brown (Falmouth, Maine) and Timothy Bogomolov (Lynn, Mass.) both turned in top-100 performances on the afternoon.
The Bantams return to action next weekend for the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
