This Week: The Trinity College women's hockey team dropped a season-opening series against the No. 6-ranked Middlebury College Panthers last weekend. The Bantams return to the ice after the Thanksgiving Holiday when they travel to Buffalo State for a Saturday-Sunday doubleheader against the Bengals before opening up at home next Friday against Amherst College.
Buffalo State All-Time Series History: Trinity is 4-2-1 all-time against the Bengals, dating back to the first-ever meeting in 2000-01.
Recent History Against the Bengals: The two team's split last season's series with Buffalo State taking the first game, 3-1, before a 3-2 Trinity win in the second game.
- Trinity rookies Taylor Peracchio and Abigail Riskevich linked up for Trinity's lone goal of the weekend to give each skater their first career point. Riskevich sent a centering pass to Peracchio who knocked home the puck on the 2-on-1 for her first collegiate goal.
- Senior goaltender Sydney Belinskas ranks fourth in the NESCAC with 58 total saves through two games. Belinskas made 35 saves in the second game of the Middlebury series.
- Bantam first-years Julia Lee, Karinna Cave-Hawkins and Kayla Milofsky earned their first career appearances in the season's first weekend. Cave-Hawkins has made an immediate impact in the faceoff circle, going 12-for-25 through Trinity's first two games this winter.
- After four straight road games to open the season, the Bantams return to the Koeppel Center next Friday for a Friday-Saturday doubleheader against Amherst. Trinity then travels to Plattsburgh State on December 9th to close out the fall semester before a January 3rd home contest against Norwich University.
