New London, Conn. - Sophomore forward Kyla Floresca (West Memphis, Ark.) had a goal and an assist to lead the Connecticut College Camels to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this evening.  Trinity falls to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in the NESCAC with its fifth consecutive setback, while the No. 9-ranked Camels improve to 7-2-1 overall and 4-1 in the league with their third win in a row.  The team will close out the two-game set tomorrow at 3 p.m. in New London.

Floresca opened the scoring with an unassisted goal 6:42 into the game and provided an assist on the lone goal of the second frame by senior teammate Lily Connolly (Duxbury, Mass.).  Trinity senior captain forward Kelcie Finn (Weymouth, Mass.) cut the Connecticut College lead in half with an unassisted tally with 6:19 remaining in the final period, but Camel junior goaltender Bailey Metz (Glenville, N.Y.) made five of her 25 saves over the next six minutes before sophomore forward Lauren Helm (Frisco, Texas) put the game away with an empty-netter inside the final minute.  Trinity senior Sydney Belinskas (Port Orange, Fla.) finished with 22 saves, as the Bantams outshot the Camels, 26-25.  The team combined for 22 minutes in penalties, but the defenses killed off all 11 power plays in the contest.
