Former Trinity Women's Soccer Star And New Marist Head Coach Leigh Howard Featured On Bantam Podcast

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College women's soccer alum and former assistant coach Leigh Howard '12 was profiled last week on the Bantam Spotlight podcast with Mike Gualtieri, after the four-time all-conference honoree was as the head women's soccer Coach at Division I Marist University in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.  Current Bantam assistant Alexa Menard '16 was featured in the fall by the College on www.trincoll.edu for her role in advising the cast of The Wolves which is currently playing at TheaterWorks in Hartford, while Trinity senior tri-captain goalkeeper Julia Pitino (Littleton, Mass.) was also interviewed in the fall on the New England Soccer Journal podcast, discussing her fine career as Trinity's starting goalkeeper.  Trinity, coached by Michael Smith (21st Season), finished the 2017 campaign with a 7-7-2 record and was fifth in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 5-4-1 record in the league.  The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 12th time and the fifth year in a row, falling 1-0, at Tufts in the quarterfinal round.
