  • Trinity Volleyball Team Earns 2016-17 AVCA Team Academic Award

    Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College volleyball squad, led by Head Coach Jen Bowman (14th season), has been named as an American Volleyball Coaches of America (AVCA) Team Academic Award recipient thanks to its hard work in the classroom during the 2016-17 school year.

    Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College volleyball team, under the guidance of Head Coach Jen Bowman (14th season), has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2017 season. In total, the Bantams will take to the court 20 times, highlighted by 14 matches in front of their home crowd inside Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams will have 10 crucial New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilts this season with hopes of making the post-season.

    Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College volleyball team, under the direction of Head Coach Jen Bowman (13th season), finished the 2016 season with an 10-13 overall record and finished in tenth place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 1-9 record in league play. A youthful Bantams squad that experienced highs and lows this fall, gained valuable experience that sets the team up to be successful next season.
  • Eight Trinity Fall Athletes Named to All-Sportsmanship Team

    Hartford, Conn. - Eight Trinity College fall athletes were named to the 2016 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship Team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. Golf sophomore Jack Junge (Lincolnshire, Ill.) earned his first appearance on the team after earning All-NESCAC First Team honors earlier this fall, and was joined by men's cross country junior Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), women's cross country senior captain Sophie Long (Darien, Conn.), field hockey senior tri-captain Sydney Doolittle (Milford, Conn.), men's soccer senior captain Oliver Murphy (Montclair, N.J.), women's soccer junior Jillian Ramsay (Glastonbury, Conn.), football senior Patrick Dorsey (Lynn, Mass.), and volleyball senior tri-captain Rachel Huges (Boxborough, Mass.).

    Additionally, the Bantams reached their Dig Pink fundraising goals through the Side-Out Foundation this year. Trinity, among with the rest of the participating schools in the country, raised a total of $91,671 towards breast cancer research.

Trinity finishes the season with a 10-13 overall record while Williams wraps up the regular season schedule at 13-10.

First-year volleyball outside hitter Wyllie Boughton (Andover, Mass.) and junior football QB Sonny Puzzo (West Caldwell, N.J.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.

    Northampton, Mass. - The Trinity College volleyball team knocked off the Emmanuel College Saints, 3-0, on Friday night on the first day of the Hall of Fame Volleyball Invitational Tournament, hosted by Smith College and Amherst College. The win moves Trinity to 9-10 overall while Emmanuel falls to 10-18 on the season.

Trinity offers nine different abroad sites for students to spend a semester, a year, or even just a few weeks over the summer to explore the country they choose and invest themselves in its culture while simultaneously gaining course credit. While at other schools it is very hard for athletes to take part in this life-changing experience, it is very easy and almost encouraged for fall and spring athletes to study abroad for a semester at Trinity and other division three schools.

Trinity improves to 5-8 overall with the win while the Blue Jays fall to 7-8 on the year. Dig Pink is a fundraising initiative for breast cancer awareness created by The Side-Out Foundation which directly funds "game-changing" breast cancer research and support. Trinity donned pink uniforms for the evening while fans wore pink in the crowd.

The Bantams won by set scores of 25-23, 25-15, and 25-18, in their fourth 3-0 victory of the season and third in as many games while Mitchell falls to 3-7 after the setback.
