Gammill, Saddler Named Bantams Of The Week

Gammill, Saddler Named Bantams Of The Week

Hartford, Conn. - The 13th Bantam of the Week of the 2019-20 sports season has been selected thanks to strong performances on the ice and on the court.  Senior men's ice hockey senior Barclay Gammill (New Canaan, Conn.) and women's basketball first-year Naia Saddler (Boyds, Md.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.

Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.

Gammill had a pair of two-goal games, scoring twice and assisting a third goal in a 6-2 win over Manhattanville and netting two more goals in a 3-1 victory over Potsdam State at the St. Anselm Thanksgiving Tournament. His first goal against the Valiants gave Trinity the lead for good at 2-1, and he scored the first two goals of the game to give the Bantams a 2-0 lead less than half way into the first period against the Bears.  Saddler scored a team-high 11 points, sinking three 3-pointers, and adding two assists in a 68-28 win against Sarah Lawrence.
