Lee, Padmore Named Bantams Of The Week

Hartford, Conn. - The 15th Bantam of the Week of the 2019-20 sports season has been selected thanks to strong performances on the court and the mat.  Women's ice hockey junior Julia Lee (Ferguson's Cove, Nova Scotia) and men's basketball senior co-captain Kyle Padmore (Milton, Mass.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.

Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.

Lee assisted on the game’s first goal in a 3-3 tie against Williams in the Bowdoin Classic, and scored the lone Bantam goal in a 1-1 tie at Suffolk. The Bantams went unbeaten stretch (1-0-2) during the stretch of three games in four days

Padmore led Trinity to three double-digit wins, averaging 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 9.0 assists against Anna Maria, Eastern Connecticut, and Regis. Padmore posted double-doubles of 11 points and 11 assists versus Regis and 14 points and 11 assists versus Anna Maria. He also netted a game-high 22 points with five rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks in the victory over Eastern Connecticut to lead the Bantams to the Trinity Holiday Invitational title and earn a spot on the all-tournament team.  He was additionally honored as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week.
