Hartford, Conn. - The 19th Bantam of the Week of the 2019-20 sports season has been selected thanks to strong performances on the court and on the ice. Men's basketball junior Colin Donovan (Westborough, Mass.) and women's ice hockey sophomore Ellie Fellows (Westport, Mass.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.
Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.
Donovan averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game in two Trinity wins. He had 20 points, seven boards, seven assists, and a block in an 83-76 win against Middlebury. He scored a team-high 18 points with four rebounds, seven assists, and a block in a 73-60 victory over Williams. Donovan shot 53.8 percent from 3-point range (7-for-13) for the week.
Fellows scored both Trinity goals to lead the Bantams to a 2-2 draw at Colby. Her second tally came in the third period and tied the game at 2-2 to force overtime. Fellows is tied for third on the Bantam squad in scoring with nine points on four goals and five assists this winter.
