Hartford, Conn. - The third Bantams of the Week of the 2019 fall season have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the football field and on the field hockey turf. Senior tri-captain field hockey forward Caroline Curtin (Andover, Mass.) and sophomore football WR DeVante Reid (London, England.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.
Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.
Curtin totaled seven points in three games, notching a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Keene State and adding two goals including the overtime game-winner in a 5-4 victory at Endicott. She was also named to the Synapse Sports National Division III Honor Roll for her fine performance.
Reid caught six passes for a Trinity record 246 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-7 win against Bowdoin. He caught touchdown passes of 23, 77, 57, and 70 yards to tie the Trinity record for touchdown passes in a game, and averaged 41.0 yards per reception. The victory extended Trinity’s home winning streak to 18 games. He was selected as the NESCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and received a "game ball" during ESPN's college football coverage on Saturday night.
