Hartford, Conn. - The fourth Bantams of the Week of the 2019 fall season have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the volleyball court and the golf course. Sophomore volleyball MH Ally Conde (Danielson, Conn.) and first-year golfer Max Edminster (Takoma Park, Md.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.
Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.
Conde led the Bantams in kills in a tri-match on Saturday, totaling . She posted a match-high .343 hitting percentage with 14 kills in a 3-0 win over Mass.-Boston, and added nine kills in a 3-0 loss to Kean. Conde also totaled nine kills apiece in a pair of 3-0 triumphs against Mitchell and at Worcester State. She notched two aces and three blocks against the Lancers and made five blocks versus Kean.
Edminster led the Bantams to fourth place in the NESCAC Championship Qualifier at Tufts, as the two-time defending champion Bantams earned the final spot in the NESCAC Championship Tournament in the spring by jumping from sixth to fourth on the second day. Edminster was Trinity's top player each round with a 74 on Saturday and a 71 on Sunday, finishing third overall.
