Hartford, Conn. - As we enter the month of October, this year's fourth Bantams of the Week have been named, thanks to their strong performances on the soccer pitch and football field. Senior field hockey co-captain Kelcie Finn (Weymouth, Mass.) and senior men's golfer Kole Kelly (Belmont, Mass.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.
Each week, the Trinity athletics website will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Bantams of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition from the previous week.
Finn was named New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week after scoring all three Trinity goals against NESCAC competition last week. Finn is tied for third in the conference with nine goals and is fourth in total points (19). She is also second in the league with 59 total shots.
Kelly turned in a two-day 143 to lead the men's golf team to a first-place finish at the 2017 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Golf Championship Qualifier at Indian Hill Country Club last weekend. Kelly earned medalist honors after shooting 75 on Saturday and 68 on Sunday. His Sunday score was second-best of anyone in the 50-player field. With the victory, Trinity will host the spring championship.
