Trinity Spring Student-Athletes Named To NESCAC All-Academic Team

Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College spring athletic teams placed 65 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2019 Spring All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Friday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

Of the 992 student-athletes named to the team, 390 were honored for the second time in their career, while 219 were recognized for the third time. In addition, 119 members of the group garnered both All-Academic and All-NESCAC accolades this spring.  A total of 68 individuals were named to both the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams, and Bantam baseball senior tri-captain Johnny Stamatis (Ridgefield, Conn.) was one just 13 individuals to grace both teams and the All-NESCAC team in his sport.
