Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College winter athletic teams placed 36 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2018-19 Winter All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.
Of the 957 student-athletes named to the team, 205 were honored for the second time in their career, while 206 were recognized for the third time. In addition, 58 members of the group garnered both All-Academic and All-NESCAC accolades this winter. A total of 39 individuals were named to both the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams. Thirteen Bantams have graced the list all three eligible years. Senior Andrew Lee (Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia) of the men's squash program and sophomore Lucas Michaud (South Portland, Maine) of the men's ice hockey program were also All-NESCAC team members, while senior Emily Peters (North Attleboro, Mass.) of the women's basketball program and Alex Sinson (Elm Grove, Wisc.) of the women's ice hockey program graced the All-Sportsmanship team.
