Seven Bantams Receive Trinity Athletics Blanket Awards

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College Athletics has announced the seven recipients of Blanket Awards from the Class of 2020.  With the cancellation of Trinity's annual Athletic Awards Ceremony, we are celebrating those considered for these awards virtually over the next two weeks.  The Blanket Award is presented to students who have earned nine or more varsity letters in three or more different sports.  The recipients are Timothy Bogomolov (Cross Country/Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field), Samantha Feenstra (Cross Country/Track and Field), Peace Kabari (Basketball/Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field), Katie Marlow-Benedick (Soccer/Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, Ace McAlister (Cross Country/Track and Field), Maeve Rabbitt (Cross Country/Soccer/Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field), and Rachel Scheub (Cross Country/Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field.

Timothy Bogomolov is a co-captain for the Trinity men's cross country and men's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  He received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and was selected to represent Trinity men's cross country on the 2019 NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. 

Samantha Feenstra is a co-captain for the Trinity women's cross country and women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  She finished 12th overall in the 2019 NCAA Regional Cross Country Championship Meet and has received both NESCAC and USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in her career. 

Peace Kabari is a tri-captain for the Trinity women's basketball team and a thrower for Trinity's women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  She was a two-time All-NESCAC performer on the court and an All-American in the shot put in track and field.

Katie Marlow-Bendick was a forward/midfielder on the Trinity women's soccer team and a sprinter for Trinity's women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  She earned numerous All-NESCAC and All-New England track and field honors in the sprints and relays throughout her career.

Ace McAlister is a co-captain for the Trinity men's cross country and men's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  He was a National Qualifer and All-New England honoree in both cross country and track and field, and earned a Connecticut Courage Award for athletic excellence in the face of diversity this winter.

Maeve Rabbitt was a back on the Trinity women's soccer team for two years, a women's cross country starter, and a distance runner for Trinity's women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  

Rachel Scheub was a Trinity cross country runner and a middle distance competitor for Trinity's women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams.  She received NESCAC All-Academic honors multiple times in her career.
