Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College Bantams remained perfect at 3-0 with a 3-1 win against the visiting Williams College Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon on Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 20 in the nation, ups its league mark to 2-0, while the Ephs stay winless at 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Trinity first-year Casey Quinn (Providence, R.I.) opened the scoring 11:08 into the game with her first career tally, and junior tri-captain defender Sarah Duncan (Dedham, Mass.) added another Bantam goal 3:15 later on a penalty corner. Trinity sophomore forward Nikki Rivera (Rockaway, N.J.) added her first career goal with a diving defelction in front of the Eph cage off a penalty corner from junior defenders Sophie Doering (Darien, Conn.) and Courtney Wynne (Darien, Conn.) late in the first half for a 3-0 Bantam advantage at the half. Junior Cary Hairfield (Richmond, Va.) scored for Williams in the second half.

Trinity dominated play with an 18-4 shot advantage and a 10-2 edge on penalty corners. Ariana Spiliotes (Bethesda, Md.) made 11 saves in the Williams cage, and senior tri-captain Anne Marie Scalambrino (Chicago, Ill.) had two stops for the Bantams.
