Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College junior forward Kendall Brown (Rowayton, Conn.) was named to both the 2019 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and the Synapse Sports Division III All-American Third Team. Brown also graced the 2019 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III New England West All-Region First Team and the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Field Hockey All-Conference First Team, while Bantam sophomore midfielder Caelin Flaherty (Upton, Mass.) was selected for the Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region Second Team. Coached by Anne Parmenter (19th Season), Trinity finished the 2019 campaign with an 8-8 record and finished tied with Amherst for eighth in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 3-7 record in the league. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 14th consecutive season, falling at Middlebury, 3-1, in the quarterfinal round.
Brown started all 16 games this fall and led the Bantams in goals with 13 (2nd in NESCAC), scoring with 31 points (2nd in NESCAC), shots with 73 (2nd in NESCAC), and game-winning tallies with four (T3rd in NESCAC) to go with her five assists. A graduate of the Westminster School, Brown is majoring in American Studies at Trinity. She is the daughter of Tori and Sandy Brown.
Flaherty started all 16 games this fall and led the Bantams in assists with seven (T5th in NESCAC) to go with six goals for 19 points. She took 30 shots and scored twice on three penalty strokes. A two-year starter, Flaherty was named to the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Team in 2018. She also plays ice hockey for the Bantams. A graduate of the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, Flaherty s majoring in psychology at Trinity. She is the daughter of Catherine and John Flaherty.
