Trinity's Starks And Cosgrove Collect Men's Basketball Postseason Honors

Hartford, Conn. – Trinity College junior guard Jaquann Starks (Hartford, Conn.) was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference First Team, the All-Northeast Region Fourth Team, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star Third Team, while Bantam Head Coach James Cosgrove was honored as the NESCAC Coach of the Year.  Trinity finished with a 23-7 record and finished at the top of the NESCAC standings with a 9-1 league mark.  The Bantams advanced to the NESCAC Semifinals and the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals.

Cosgrove guided the Bantams to the top seed in the NESCAC Championship for the first time since 2002 and their first 20-win season since 2008. Trinity earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008 and the eighth time overall.

Starks led the Bantams with 14.1 points per game and boasted an .891 free-throw percentage and a .436 three-point field goal percentage. He has scored in double figures 25 times this winter, including each of the team's last 12 contests. He is the son of Paulette Woods and he is majoring in political science.
