Ogundeko Named NESCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week For Second Time This Month

Hartford, Conn. - For the second time in three weeks, Trinity senior co-captain Ed Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Ogundeko led the Bantams to a weekend sweep of NESCAC opponents at home, averaging 17.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in wins over Colby (65-56) and Bowdoin (71-53). Ogundeko totaled 14 points and seven boards in the Colby win and posted 20 points, 20 boards, and three blocks against the Polar Bears. He finished the weekend shooting 65.2 percent from the field (15-for-23).

Two weeks ago, Ogundeko led the Bantams to a 3-0 week, averaging a double-double of 19.3 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He scored 19 points in 20 minutes in a win over Plattsburgh State, posted game-highs of 24 points, 12 boards, and five blocks in a victory over Pine Manor, and registered 15 points, 23 rebounds, two steals, and a block in a 65-63 triumph at Williams to open NESCAC play. Ogundeko shot 57.9 percent from the field for the three games.
