Williamstown, Mass. - The Trinity College golf team seized the lead on a windy day one of the Williams College Golf Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club. The Bantams finished the day with a team score of 294 that featured three scores that either broke or threatened par. Junior Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.), winner of the event in 2015, took a one shot lead on the individual leaderboard with a three-under 68 that helped place the Bantams to first place. Junior Taylor Kay-Green (Needham, Mass.) and senior captain Nate Choukas (Hanover, N.H.) were the other two Bantams to shoot in the 70s as Kay-Green turned in a 72, good for a tie for fifth-place, and Choukas finished one off that at 73.
Williams will enter the second round just one stroke back of Trinity after shooting a score of 295.
