Middlebury, Vt.- The Trinity College Bantams finished the weekend in third place with a score of 577 in the 34th Duke Nelson Golf Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. Babson College and Western New England led the tournament in first and second place with scores of 572 and 573, respectively, while Williams College finished in fourth place with a score of 582 followed by Tufts University in fifth place with a score of 595. As a unit, Trinity improved three strokes from the first round (290) to the second round (287) and looks forward to the Williams Fall Invitational next weekend.
Junior Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) led the Bantam squad with a two-day score of 143 (71+72). Rosenfield tied for third overall with a handful of other players such as Babson's Chris Bornhorst and Western New England's John Abbott and Tyler Sinacola. Senior captain Nate Choukas (Hanover, N.H.) shot a 70 this afternoon, improving five strokes from his Saturday round to finish the weekend with a score of 145. Teammates Taylor Kay-Green (Needham, Mass.) shot a 146 (75+71) and Joseph Ladd (San Francisco, Calif.) totaled a 147 (73+74) while senior Kole Kelly (Belmont, Mass.) added a score of 149 (71+78) for the Bantams.
