Manchester, Vt. – Senior tri-captain Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) finished second with a round of 71 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to the 2018 Ekwanok Men’s Golf College Tournament at Equanok Country Club this afternoon. Trinity’s top six scorers of eight golfers on the course combined for a team score of 447 to put the Bantams 10 strokes ahead of Middlebury in the team scoring. As the winner of the annual tournament featuring Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, and Williams, the Bantams earn the Sap Bucket for the second time in the five-year history of the event.
Rosenfield ended up three strokes behind Williams’ Beau David for individual medalist honors, followed by sophomore Ricardo Paes Leme (Lake Villa, Ill.) in a tie for fourth at 73. Bantam senior tri-captain Jack Junge (Lincolnshire, Ill.) tied for sixth at 74, classmate Joseph Ladd (San Francisco, Calif.) tied for eighth at 75, and junior Cameron Chottiner (Houston, Texas) tied for 10th at 76 to give Trinity five players among the top ten. Trinity closes the fall campaign this weekend at the Saratoga National Golf Club Invitational in New York.
