Men's Golf in Sixth After Day One of NESCAC Qualifier

Hartford, Conn. — The Trinity College men’s golf program is currently in sixth place after day one of the NESCAC Fall Qualifier at Sandy Burr Country Club, hosted by Tufts. The Bantams currently Middlebury, and are just 11 strokes out of the lead.

Williams leads the field through day one with a team score of 291, with Amherst trailing at 295. With Tufts in third and Hamilton in fourth with a team score of 299, the Bantams are just three strokes out of fourth, which would give it a bid into the NESCAC Championship in the spring.

Freshman Max Edminster (Takoma Park, Md.) leads the Bantams through day one, and is tied for ninth after shooting 74. Freshman Nicholas Li (Vancouver, British Columbia) and junior Ricardo Paies Leme (Lake Villa, Ill.) are tied for 13th, shooting a 75 through the first round.

Tee time for day two will begin at 10 a.m.
