Jack Junge '19 has been announced as the new assistant coach for the Trinity College men's golf team and will also help with hockey operations for both the men's and women's ice hockey squads for the 2019-20 academic year. Junge, who graduated from the college this May with a degree in history, was a four-year member of the men's golf program and three-year member of the men's ice hockey team.
Junge joins the men's golf coaching staff after serving as a captain of the team in 2018-19. He was a two-time New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference honoree, after earned All-NESCAC First Team recognition as a senior. Junge was also a 2016 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Ping Division III All-American Honorable Mention and a Ping Division III All-Northeast Regional Team member as a rookie, and collected NESCAC All-Academic honors six times in golf and ice hockey. He represented the men's golf squad on Trinity's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Award recipient. Junge helped lead this year's Trinity men's golf team win NESCAC titles in 2018 and 2019, finish a best-ever 10th in the NCAA Division III Championships, and was a member of Trinity's 2017 and 2019 NESCAC Champion men's ice hockey squads.
