Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College men's lacrosse senior tri-captain Ryan Tassan (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) has been selected as one of 50 student-athletes to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All Star Game on Friday, June 1. The Bantams, led by Head Coach Jason Tarnow (1st Season), finished the 2017-18 season with a 4-10 overall record and 1-9 mark in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action.
The game will take place at Penmen Stadium in Hooksett, New Hampshire at Southern New Hampshire University. Face-off will be at 6:30 pm and will feature the top graduating students from Divisions 1, 2, and 3. All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA. Players were then ranked and selected by a committee awarding seniors from all three NCAA Divisions who played their college career in the New England region.
Tassan recently graduated from Trinity after starting every game this season and tallied 22 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, and one goal in 14 games and 13 starts as a defenseman. Tassan finished his career with two points on a goal and an assist, 40 ground balls, and 15 caused turnovers in 41 games. An alum of Cold Spring Harbor High School and the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, Tassan graduated from Trinity this month with a degree in mathematics. He is the son of Louis and Donna Tassan.
