Scott Morgan Earns All-American Honors For Trinity Men's Lacrosse

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior face-off man Scott Morgan (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) continues to rack up post-season accolades after a stellar senior season, adding United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Warrior and New Balance All-American Second Team to the list.  Morgan was also a New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England First Team honoree and a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference First Team selection this spring. He was additionally chosen to play in the USILA Senior North/South All-Star Game for the North team that was played on Tierney Field at the USLacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on May 24.  Trinity, led by Head Coach Jason Tarnow (2nd season), finished the 2019 campaign season with an 8-8 overall record and finished eighth in the NESCAC with a 3-7 mark in conference play.  The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the eighth time, falling at Tufts, 17-8, in the quarterfinal round.

Morgan led the NESCAC in ground balls with 144 (7th in nation, new Trinity record) and face-off percentage at .670 (19th in nation), while adding seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 13 games (all starts).  He was selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week once this spring.  Morgan, who represented Trinity men's lacrosse on the 2018 NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team, closed his fine career with 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points on 34 shots, 403 ground balls (2nd all-time at Trinity), and 692 face-off wins in 1,247 attempts for a face-off percentage of .555 (3rd all-time at Trinity). An alum of the Kent School in Connecticut, Morgan graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in economics.  He is the son of Scott and Judi Morgan.
