Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior Scott Morgan (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) has been named to the 2019 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England First Team, as well as to the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) First Team after a stellar senior campaign. Trinity, led by Head Coach Jason Tarnow (2nd season), finished the season with an 8-8 overall record and 3-7 mark in conference play, qualifying for the NESCAC Championship for the first time since 2012.
Morgan was chosen as the First Team faceoff specialist for both honors after leading the NESCAC in ground balls and posting a 66.9 winning percentage at the dot, the latter of which ranks 20th in the nation. Morgan also ranked seventh in the country in ground balls per game (11.08) and recorded 13 points on seven goals and six assists this spring as well. He set the new program record for both ground balls in a single season (144) and ground balls per game in a single season (11.08). A graduate of the Kent School in Connecticut and economics major, he is the son of Scott and Judi Morgan.
