Trinity Men's Rowing Closes 2015-16 With National Invitational Rowing Championships

Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College varsity eight won the petit final of the National Invitational Rowing Championship Regatta with a time of 6:32.113 this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond.  Trinity's time was 2.29 seconds faster than Boston College's second-place boat.  Williams won the grand final race and the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title with a first-place time of 6:16.667.  Trinity's third-varsity eight placed third in its grand final and its second-varsity eight was second in its petit final.  The Bantams totaled 42 points to finish eighth in the Overall Points Trophy Standings and Trinity's rowing squads were fourth in the Combined Overall Points Trophy Standings with 84 points.  Trinity had finished just third in its preliminary heat in varsity eights racing, more than 10 seconds shy of second-place Bates.  Today's competition concludes the 2015-16 Trinity men's rowing season.
