Worcester, Mass. - Trinity College finished third in the varsity eight and second-varsity eight races on its final day of dual competition this morning against the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders and the Wesleyan University Cardinals on Lake Quinsigamond. Trinity's varsity eight posted a time of 6:21.61, while Holy Cross was first at 6:07.7 and the Cardinals were second at 6:14.93. Wesleyan receives the Graf Cup for its win over Trinity. The Bantam second-varsity eight finished less than two seconds behind Wesleyan at 6:19.47, while the Crusaders won that race at 6:11.88. Trinity's varsity four competed on Saturday against Bates, Williams, and Worcester Tech, finishing third with a time of 7:46.76. Bates was first in that race at 7:33.87. Trinity's varsity eight finishes 2018 with a 5-4 record in dual races and will open the championship season on Saturday, May 5 with the NeW England Rowing Championship (NERC) Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond. The Banam varsity four was 1-5 in dual races and the second-varsity eight was 5-4.
