Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College seniors Alex Bednarek (Berlin, Conn.), Scott Brazina (Concord, Mass.), and Tim Peng (Sharon, Mass.), and juniors Alex Steel (Weston, Mass.) and John Mackie (Darien, Conn.), and sophomores Michael Burns (Oreland, Pa.), Massimo Eichner (Potomac, Md.), Henry Farr (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), Griffin Paterson (New Canaan, Conn.), and Patrick Simpson (London, England) were named to the 2016 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Fall All-Academic Team. Peng was also selected to represent Trinity men's soccer on the 2017 NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. The Bantams, coached by Mike Pilger (14th Season), finished the 2017 season with a 4-10-1 overall record and finished eleventh in the NESCAC with a 1-8-1 record in league play.
The Trinity College fall athletic teams placed 54 student-athletes on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution. Of the 763 student-athletes named to the team, 251 were honored for the second time in their career, while 131 were recognized for the third time. In addition, 78 members of the group garnered both All-Academic and All-NESCAC accolades this fall, led by 15 student-athletes from Middlebury. A total of 42 individuals were named to both the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams.
