Trinity's Chaudhry Repeats As National Men's Squash Singles Champion

Williamstown, Mass. - Junior Baset Chaudhry (Lahore, Pakistan) defeated Mauricia Sanchez, of Princeton, 9-6, 9-10, 9-4, 5-9, 9-3 to in the finals to win the College Squash Association (CSA) Men's Squash Singles National Championship (Potter Cup) title at Williams College this afternoon. Chaudhry won four 3-0 matches on Friday and Saturday to reach the final round and defends his 2008 crown.  Sanchez loses, 3-2, for the second consecutive Sunday after Chaudhry had downed him to give Trinity its 11 staright team title. 

Bantam sophomore Chris Binnie (Kingston, Jamaica) won the"b" tournament (Malloy Trophy) with five straight wins.  Trinity freshman Nour Bahgat (Cairo, Egypyt) won the women's title, giving Trinity a sweep of the men's and women's national championships for the first time in six years.
