Trinity Men's Squash Shuts Out Franklin And Marshall

Lancaster, Pa. – Senior tri-captains Andres Vargas (Bogoto, Colombia) and Travis Judson (Greenwich, Conn.) and senior Daniel Echavarria (Bogota, Colombia) posted 3-0 victories to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 victory over the Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats in men's squash action this afternoon.  Twelve-time defending national champion Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improves to 8-0 and extends the longest winning streak in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 232 in a row.  Franklin and Marshall, ranked No. 9 nationally, drops to 9-5.  None of the nine matches went five games, although the fourth game in the No. 8 match featuring Bantam freshman Matthew Mackin (Greenwich, Conn.) and Diplomat rookie Aadit Zaveri (Mumbai, India) was the longest in Trinity history with Mackin winning, 26-24.
