Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College men's squash team put on a dominating performance on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats 9-0 at Kellner Squash Center. The win is Trinity's ninth in a row as they remain undefeated while the Diplomats fall to 3-5 on the year.
The Bantams won eight matches, 3-0, with the only Franklin & Marshall game won in the No. 4 slot by freshman Silvio Soom (Urdorf, Switzerland). Trinity freshman Nku Patrick (San Fernando, Trinidad) put on a dominant display in the No. 9 slot, winning 3-0 by a combined score of 33-10. Senior co-captain Juan Vargas (Bogota, Colombia) and sophomore James Evans (Maidstone, England) both won their matches by combined scores of 33-11. Trinity return to the courts on Wednesday, January 20 at 6 p.m., when they travel to Yale in a matchup that pits the No. 1 ranked Bantams vs. the No. 2 ranked Bulldogs.
