Trinity Men's Squash Clobbers Columbia

New York, N.Y. – First-year Tor Christoffersen (Malmoe, Sweden) allowed just nine total points in a dominant performance at the No. 8 spot in the lineup, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams blanked the Columbia University Lions, 9-0, in men's squash action this afternoon at the S.L. Green StreetSquash Center.  The Defending National Champion Bantams, ranked No. 1 nationally, improve to 8-0, while the No. 5-ranked Lions drop to 4-2 overall this winter and 0-5 all-time against the Bantams.  Trinity posted 3-0 wins at No. 3 thru No. 9, and sophomore Rick Penders (Maastricht, Netherlands), ranked No. 9 individually among individuals, handed Columbia junior Rishi Tandon, ranked No. 19 nationally, his first loss of the season, 3-1, at the top of the ladder.
