Hartford, Conn. - Seven players won via sweep to lead the top-ranked Trinity College men's squash team to a 9-0 victory over the visiting No. 5-ranked University of Pennsylvania Quakers on Saturday afternoon at the Kellner Squash Center on Trinity's campus in Hartford. The Bantams improve to 7-0 overall with their 16th-straight victory and 33rd consecutive home victory while Penn falls to 8-2 on the year. Trinity returns to Kellner tomorrow at noon for a match against Navy.
Sophomore Andrew Lee (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) dominated for Trinity at No. 9, holding his opponent to just 11 total points. Senior captain Rick Penders (Maastricht, Netherlands) also cruised in the No. 3 spot, yielding just 14 points to his Quaker counterpart. The win for the Bantams is their sixth shutout of the winter as they have outscored their opponents 60-3 on the year.
