Three Bantams Win Races In Trinity Men's Swimming And Diving Quad Meet At Wesleyan

Middletown, Conn. - Sophomore Greg Kalmiskii (St. Petersburg, Russia) and rookies Alex Kapanadze (London, England) and Charlie Roth (Alexandria, Va.) won races, as the Trinity College Bantams participated in a two-day men's swimming and diving quad meet at Wesleyan University this weekend.  Trinity dropped a close decision to Colby, 185-178, and lost to Bowdoin, 244-124, while the team scores between Trinity and Wesleyan were not recorded. 

Kalmiskii won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:21.16, in addition to his third-place times of 4:48.80 in the 500-yard free and 10:18.29 in the 1,000-yard free.  Kapanadze won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.56, finished as the 400-yard IM runner-up at 4:14.08, and took fourth place in the 100-yard IM at 55.08.  Roth registered a winning time of 53.81 in the 100-yard backstroke and added fourth-place times of 25.52 in the 50-yard back and 2:00.89 in the 200-yard back.  Trinity rookie Radojica Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) also boasted three finishes in the top four with a second-place time of 48.19 in the 100-yard free and fourth-place times of 21.84 in the 50-yard free and 1:50.00 in the 200-yard free.  Rookie diver Alex Schrock (Long Lake, Minn.) was fifth off both diving boards for the Bantams.
