Middlebury, Vt. - Sophomore diver Alex Schrock (Long Lake, Minn.) finished seventh off the one-meter board (356.80) on Friday and eighth off the three-meter board (331.55) today, as the Trinity College Bantams finished ninth place in the team standings in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend at Middlebury College. Trinity totaled 444.5 points, while the host Panthers were eighth with 589.5 points and Hamilton was 10th with 271 points. Williams won the team title with 1,822 points. Sophomore Radojica Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) highlighted the racing weekend for the Bantams with a fifth-place time of 21.09 in the 50-yard freestyle on Friday.
In today's racing, Trinity senior tri-captain Nikola Kostic (Belgrade, Serbia) finished 12th in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:20.60, and was followed shortly after by first-year Ryan Schaum (Tarrytown, N.Y.) in 15th place at 16:24.92. Pavlovic added a 12th-place time of 46.54 in the 100-yard freestyle. On Saturday, Kostic finished 11th in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:41.99, while Schaum added a 16th-place time of 4:12.01 in the 400-yard IM. Pavlovic and classmate Marco Rupp (Wolfsburg, Austria) were 21st in the 200-yard free (1:44.41) and the 100-yard fly (52.32), respectively. Pavlovic, Rupp, senior tri-captain Gordon Hyduke (Malvern, Pa.), and sophomore Blake Jamilkowski (New York, N.Y.) highlighted Saturday's relays for the Bantams with an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay race at 1:33.94.
On Friday, while Jamilkowski posted an eighth-place time of 22.82 in the 50-yard butterfly, while Rupp tied for 12th behind Pavlovic in the 50-yard free and placed 16th behind Jamilkowski in the 50-yard fly, and Schaum scored for the Bantams with a 23rd-place time of 4:42.77 in the 500-yard free. On Thursday, the Trinity "A" relay, consisting of Kostic, Pavlovic, Rupp, and Schaum, finished eighth in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:58.26.
