Trinity Men's Swimming And Diving Falls At Colby In Last Dual Meet Of The Season

Waterville, Maine - Sophomore sprinter Radojica Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) provided the top highlight with a first-place time of 22.03 in the 50-yard freestyle, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams closed the men's swimming and diving dual-meet schedule with a 196-94 setback against the Colby College Mules this afternoon.  Trinity finishes with a 3-4 dual record, and will race in the Tech Sprints at Worcester Poytechnic Institute on Saturday, February 2. Pavlovic also came in second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.99 seconds, which was just 0.4 seconds behind the winner.

Two other Bantams narrowly missed out on first place in an individual race, as first-year Ryan Schaum (Tarrytown, N.Y.) finished just .13 seconds behind the winner with a time of 17:05.20 in the 1,650-yard freestyle and sophomore Marco Rupp (Wolfsburg, Austria) was .10 seconds shy of the winning mark with a time of 53.99 in the 100-yard fly.  Trinity senior tri-captain Gordon Hyduke (Malvern, Pa.) added a second-place time of 2:01.61 in the 200-yard fly and teamed with Pavlovic, Rupp, and sophomore Blake Jamilkowski (New York, N.Y.) for a runner-up time of 1:54.44 in the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay.  Bantam sophomore Alex Schrock (Long Lake, Minn.) showed up in diving with second-place performances off both boards.
