Hartford, Conn. — The Trinity College men's tennis program competed in the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, September 14. The tournament saw hosted six teams, including Vassar, Holy Cross, Connecticut College, Wheaton, and Coast Guard. A handful of doubles teams shined in the first contest of the year, with a number of singles matches also going in Trinity's favor.
Senior William Frigerio (Villanova, Pa.) led the Bantams, posting a 4-0 record on the afternoon. The pair of Frigerio and junior Tanner Boyle (Pembroke, Conn.) were perfect in doubles B, downing Wheaton 8-5 and Vassar 8-5. Frigerio was perfect on the day, winning both singles competitions as well; he won 6-1, 6-4 against Holy Cross and 6-0, 6-3 over Wheaton. Boyle also went 1-1 in singles, winning his first match against Coast Guard, 6-0, 6-0.
