Middletown, Conn. - Four Trinity College men's outdoor track and field athletes won events, as the Bantams competed in the Wesleyan University Spring Classic on Saturday afternoon in the team's first meet of the 2018 outdoor season. Sophomore Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) won the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:07.23, while teammates Joseph Ruggiero (Manchester, Conn.) and Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) finished in second and third place. McAlister also placed second in the 800-meter dash, finishing less than a second off the first place time. First-year William Estony (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) completed the 3000-meter in 9:19.72 to finish first, followed by teammate Timothy Bogomolov (Lynn, Mass.) who scored second. Junior Luke Mayer (Morristown, N.J.) recorded an 8.66 finals time to claim a first-place victory in the 60-meter hurdles while Deven Roberts (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) won the high jump at 1.83 meters to highlight the only Trinity victory in the field events.
