    Hartford Conn. – Men’s track and field senior Lucas Duros (Wilmette, Ill.) was named as Trinity College’s 2019 senior male scholar athlete of the year (ECAC Award) at the annual Trinity Athletics Award ceremony on May 1.

  • Trinity Spring Student-Athletes Named To NESCAC All-Academic Team

    Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College spring athletic teams placed 65 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2019 Spring All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Friday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

    Hartford, Conn. - Eleven Trinity College spring athletes were named to the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship Team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship.
  • Men's Track and Field Competes in Last Chance Meet at Williams

    Williamstown, Mass. - Members of the Trinity College men's track and field team competed at the 2019 Williams College Last Chance Meet on Wednesday night, looking to improve on their season marks to meet the qualifying times for this year's national championships. Senior Samuel Oyebefun (Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis) turned in a 11.30 time in the 100-meter finals while classmate Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) finished ninth in the 1,500-meters run with a finals time of 4:06.84. Fellow senior William Duggan (Glastonbury, Conn.) also competed, in the javelin throw, where he turned in a 47.79 meter toss.

    New Haven, Conn. - Junior Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) finished 11th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:12.91, as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the New England Men's Outdoor Track and Field Open Championship Meet at Southern Connecticut State University this weekend.

    Williamstown, Mass. - Senior captain Joe Ruggiero (Manchester, Conn.) placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:38.56, as the Trinity College Bantams claimed 24th place in the New England Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Williams College this weekend.

    Hartford, Conn – Trinity College Assistant Men's and Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Coach Bonnie Edmondson has been named as the women's head coach for Team USA in five international competitions in 2019, including the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Relays in Yokohama and the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

    dlebury, Vt. -  The Trinity College men's track and field saw numerous scorers at the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Middlebury College. The Bantams finished with 15 points to place 11th, just one full point behind tenth place Connecticut College. Middlebury won the team title with 201 points. 
  • Men's Track and Field Set to Compete At NESCAC Championships This Weekend at Middlebury

    Middlebury, Vt. - Middlebury, Vt. - The Trinity College men's track and field team is set to take to Middlebury College this weekend for the 2019 NESCAC Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships. The event will be held Saturday, April 27 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Middlebury College's Dragone Complex in Middlebury, Vt. Last spring at Trinity, the Middlebury men captured their first NESCAC title recording 14 top-three finishes, including two winning relay performances and individual first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash and the 1,500-meter run.

    Hartford, Conn. – Senior sprinter Alex Tomcho (Windsor, Conn.) and junior thrower Myles Walsh (Winchester, Mass.) won two events each, as the Bantams hosted the Trinity College Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Invitational and won 11 events on a rainy afternoon on Jessee/Miller Field.

    New London, Conn. - Sophomores Stephen Tyler (Weston, Conn.) and Erkin Verbeek (Bethesda, Md.) and first-years Tim Lautenbach (Weston, Mass.) and Henry Potter (Lake Oswego, Oregon) teamed up for a second-place time of 8:07.66 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a tie with Brandeis for 11th place as a team in the Silfen Men's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Connecticut College this afternoon.

    New London, Conn. - The Trinity College men’s track and field squad placed fifth at the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday in New London. The Bantams finished with 74 points, good for fifth place behind Eastern Connecticut State and UMass-Dartmouth who tied for third.

    When I was in high school I fell in love with the sport of running. As cliché as it might be to say, running for me, became a lifestyle. It became something that I did not want to give up when I went to college. With an honest look at my times, it was clear that I was not going to get a scholarship to run on a Division I cross country or track team. I met with a handful of different Division III coaches from various leagues in the New England region and I knew immediately that Trinity and the NESCAC were where I wanted to be.

    Medford, Mass. - The Trinity College men’s track and field team kicked off the 2019 outdoor season at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday, turning in multiple top performances and more impressive performances. Trinity finished fifth out of 19 schools, tallying 58 points behind fourth-place Southern Maine. The Bantams return to action next Saturday in New London for the Coast Guard Invitational.

    Cambridge, Mass. - The Trinity College men's track and field team saw four athletes turn in top-eight performances on Saturday of the 2018-19 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Regional Championships at MIT. The Bantams finished the event in 13th out of 23 teams, just three points shy of 12th-place Coast Guard and seven ahead of 14th-place Bridgewater State.

    Boston, Mass. - Four Trinity College sprinters competed on the Fastrack at Boston University in the David Hemery Men's Indoor Track and Field Valentine Invitational this afternoon.  Bantam rookie Robert Allen (Bloomfield, Conn.) placed 80th in a field of runners from all NCAA divisions with a time of 22.70 in the 200-meter dash.

    Northampton, Mass. - The Trinity College men's track and field team ran away with a first-place finish at the Smith Indoor Invitational on Saturday to open the 2019 calendar year. The Bantams tallied 111 team points, 33.5 more than second place Worcester State, and saw a handful of top finishes in an impressive day of competition.
