Springfield, Mass. - The Trinity College men's track and field squad enjoyed a successful day on Saturday at the Springfield College Triangle Classic. Trinity returns to action next weekend for the New England Division III Championships held at MIT.
Bantam rookie Robert Allen (Bloomfield, Conn.) won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.87, just .07 off the top time, and added a second place finish in the 60 with a 7.10 final. Senior Ben Feola (Woodbridge, Conn.) also finished first, in the 400, with a 51.90 finals time. Junior harrier Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) returned to form with a top finish in the 3K, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of the field in 8:49.80. In field events, rookie Kinnard Hughes (Chicago, Ill.) finished first in the long jump at 6.89 meters while Kevin Oleskewicz (Simsbury, Conn.) turned in a third-place effort in the weighted throw.
