Mendon, Mass. - The Trinity College men's track and field squad competed at the Tufts National Qualifiying Meet on Sunday afternoon in Mendon. The meet marked the final chance for student-athletes to improve their national qualifying chances for the last time during the indoor season.
Trinity first-year Robert Allen (Bloomfield, Conn.) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a finals time of 7.06 while junior Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) also turned in a fourth-place effort, in the 5,000-meter run, with a time of 15:02.30. Senior Luke Mayer (Morristown, N.J.) finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.49 while rookie Kinnard Hughes (Chicago, Ill.) placed second in the long jump with a distance of 6.66 meters.
