Trinity Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth At UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. - Junior Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) finished third with a time of 24:56.09 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a fifth-place finish at the UMass-Dartmouth Men's Cross Country Invitational this afternoon.  Trinity totaled 194 points, which was just 11 shy of Division II Franklin Pierce in fourth, while Division II Southern New Hampshire won the team title with 74 in a field of 41 teams.  The Bantams were the second-highest finishers among Division III schools.  Trinity senior Joe Ruggiero (Manchester, Conn.) was 25th with a time of 25:50.45.  Trinity takes next weekend off before competing in the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on September 29.
