  • Softball Splits Twinbill at Eastern Connecticut State

    Mansfield, Conn. - The Trinity College softball team staved off a late Warrior rally to come away with a 5-4 victory in the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday evening versus Eastern Connecticut State at Clyde Washburne Field. The Bantams dropped the second game, 10-0, to split the twinbill and move to 12-10 on the year.

The Bantams travel to Eastern Connecticut State on Thursday for a twinbill before a key New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East matchup this weekend at Bates College. The Bantams travel to Maine for a three-game series, beginning on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. 
  • Softball Falls to Tufts Twice on Senior Day

    Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College softball team lost twice to the Tufts University Jumbos on Saturday, dropping game one by a score of 10-4, before falling in game two, 4-3. The Bantams, who defeated Tufts, 4-2 in yesterday’s series opener, fall to 11-9 on the year and 3-3 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East. The Jumbos move to 22-6 overall and 7-2 in the division. Before today’s doubleheader, Trinity honored its two seniors, tri-captains Courtney Erickson (Everett, Mass.) and Nicole Towner (Erie, Colo.), as part of Senior Day.

    Hartford, Conn. - With two outs in the fifth inning of a 1-1 game, Bantam rookie Alex Chambers (East Lyme, Conn.) came up with the bases loaded and crushed a bases-clearing triple to centerfield to give the Trinity College softball team the lead for good as the Bantams defeated the Tufts University Jumbos, 4-2, on Friday afternoon in the first of a three-game New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East series between the two schools.

Softball senior tri-captain Courtney Erickson (Everett, Mass.) and men's lacrosse sophomore Drew Kozub (Hopkinton, Mass.) have been named as the Bantams of the Week.

  • Softball Drops NESCAC East Opener Against Bowdoin

    Hartford, Conn. - Allison Rutz (Essex Junction, Vt.) went 3-for-3 with a double, a two-run homer and a pair of runs scored to help lead the visiting Bowdoin College Polar Bears to a 7-2 victory over the Trinity College Bantams on Friday in both teams' New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) softball divisional opener in Hartford. The Bantams fall for the first time in five games, moving to 7-4 overall, while Bowdoin improves to 12-5 on the year. The two sides are back at it again tomorrow for a doubleheader, beginning at noon, to finish the regular season series.

    Clermont, Fla. - Sophomore Hannah Zukowski (Burlington, Conn.) and first-year Alex Chambers (East Lyme, Conn.) combined to go 9-for-9 in the first game and rookie RHP Jordan Stephan (South Orange, N.J.) improved to 4-0 with  a complete-game effort in the second game, as the Trinity College Bantams doubled up the Wellesley College Blue and then upended the Elmhurst College Bluejays on their last day in the Spring Games softball tournament this afternoon.

  • Trinity Softball's Schiff Featured In Media Story After Fine First Season

    Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College softball sophomore IF Cassidy Schiff (Darien, Conn.) was recently featured in the Darien Times after completing a solid rookie season with the Bantams in 2018.  Schiff played in 15 games, mostly at second base, and batted .391.
