This Week: Looking to get back to its winning ways, the Trinity College women’s basketball team opens up NESCAC play this week, playing two games inside Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams will see its toughest test yet, hosting #2 Bowdoin Friday night before taking on Colby Saturday Afternoon.

Series History: Bowdoin’s reign stems from the 1979-80 season, holding a 29-8 overall record over the Bantams.

Recent History: The last time Trinity took down the Polar Bears was during the 1999-2000 season; last year, Bowdoin won 76-63.

Series History: Since 1981-82, Trinity is 16-20 all-time againt the Mules.

Recent History: Trinity took last year’s contest against the Mules, winning on the road 65-50.

 

Notes and Numbers:

  • Trinity is coming off a pair of losses, falling to R/V Smith and Western New England — two games that came down to the wire.
  • First-year Bria Fuller (Springdale, Md.) continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 12.3 points per game.
  • Senior Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) leads the team in rebounds, averaging 6.8 per game. She currently has 540 career assists, and is averaging 10.4 points per game.
  • Last season, the Bantams opened up its NESCAC season at home, losing to Amherst before picking up its first league win against Hamilton.
  • Trinity’s win against Colby during the 2018-19 season sparked an 8-1 run through the end of January, taking down conference foes Williams, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Connecticut College, and Bates along the way.
