Brunswick, Maine - The Trinity College Bantams opened the 2019-20 women's golf season with a fourth-place finish in the two-day Bowdoin Invitational at Brunswick Golf Club this weekend.
Junior Emily Schroeder (Madison, Conn.) finished Saturday's round tied for ninth place with a score of 94. The Bantams closed out the first day of competition with a score of 421 (+133) finishing 48 behind third-place Husson.
Schroeder would go on to shoot another 94 the following day, finishing with a total score of 188 (+44), good for tenth place overall. She was followed up by her teammate Gabby Christensen (Cottage Grove, Minn.) who finished the weekend in 15th place, with a score of 198 (+54).
The Bantams collectively shot 410 in the second round of the tournament, which combined for a net score of 831 and a fourth place finish overall.
Next week the Bantams head to Wellesley to compete in the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational.
