Trinity Women's Golf In Sixth After Day One At NESCAC Qualifier

Williamstown, Mass. - Junior Lexi Butler (Old Westbury, N.Y) shot a team-low 94, as the Trinity College Bantams opened play in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Qualifying Tournament this afternoon at Taconic Golf Club on the campus of Williams College. The NESCAC Women's Golf Championship has a new format in 2019-20. Williams is hosting the fall qualifier, in conjunction with the Williams Fall Invitational, this weekend, and the top four conference teams and the top four individuals outside of the top four teams will advance to the NESCAC Women's Golf Championship set for April 25-26, 2020. The winner of the fall qualifier will host the spring championship. Butler shot a 94 and classmate Emily Schroeder (Madison, Conn.) shot a 99.  The Bantams totaled 448 as a squad in sixth place.  The host Williams Ephs are winning with a team score of 312.  The tournament concludes tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
