Women's Hockey Weekly Preview

This Week: Coming off a 2-1 week featuring wins over Manhattanville and Castleton, the Trinity College women's hockey team enters the new week with a 4-11 record ahead of a Tuesday evening matchup against No. 3-ranked Elmira. After Tuesday's game, the Bantams welcome Colby to town over the weekend in a pivotal New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) series beginning on Friday night.

Elmira All-Time Series History: Trinity is 0-3-0 all-time against the Soaring Eagles dating back to the first meeting during the 2009-10 season.

Last time out against the Soaring Eagles: Elmira won last year's matchup, 2-0, in New York. 

Colby All-Time Series History: Trinity is 19-13-1 against the Mules in the all-time series which started in the winter of 1999-00.

Last time out against the Mules: Trinity swept last year's series, picking up wins by scores of 3-2 and 2-1, both on the road in Waterville.  

Game Notes:
- Senior captain Kelcie Finn scored the game-winning goal against Manhattanville, breaking a 1-1 tie with 10:31 left in the third period, and totaled two goals and an assist versus Castleton, including the game-winner that broke a 2-2 stalemate 9:22 into the final period. Finn leads the team with eight points on five goals and three assists. 

- Senior Tasha Adams scored once and added an assist against Endicott for her sixth and seventh point of the season. Adams is second on the team with seven points on a trio of goals and four helpers. 

- Senior captain Hannah Oganeku had a big week for the Bantams, scoring once and adding a pair of assists in the team's 3-2 win over Castleton. Oganeku and rookie Taylor Peracchio, who had one goal and one assist last week, are tied for third on the team with six points.

- Senior Caroline Howell scored once last week to put her at three on the season. Howell is tied for fifth on the team, along with first-years Julia Lee and Abigail Riskevich, with three points.

- Sophomore goaltender Kai-Lilly Karpman continued her strong play between the pipes last week, picking up her first two victories of the season and of her career. The sophomore made 26 saves in a win against Manhattanville and stopped 17 shots against Castleton. Karpman also did not allow a single third period goal in either appearance.
